Indie Bits is a celebration of independent interactive media. That’s video games, board games, card games, and virtual reality. There’s playful, imaginative worlds of escape. Or stories that crush your soul into a tiny puddle of sadness. If you want slick systems that challenge your mind, you know where go to.
Super Dram World (a kaizo-style ROM hack of Super Mario World created by PangaeaPanga) feels like an entirely new way to interact with the world's most famous plumber on his mission to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser's castle. Columbia based filmmakers dustoftheground have created an installation that lets you play the first level of Super Dram World to see if you can match the world record pace set by speedrunner GrandPooBear while they capture all of the laughs and rage quits for an upcoming documentary film.
***Participants will be entered into a drawing for a Nintendo Switch.***
