Burn the Keyboard

The purpose of Burn the Keyboard is to force people out of their comfort zones when it comes to exploring creativity and design by creative alternative controllers for new and existing games, or even standalone games.

It not only encourages, but dares participants to try and fail at their ideas. It teaches how to successfully iterate and try new concepts before worrying about if they will work or not. Humans are tactile by nature, and can learn a lot about play, interface, and design by working with their hands, especially empowered by digital tools.

This workshop is led by Jerry Belich, an independent game designer and developer, with a particular passion for telling stories, and bringing interactive experiences into the physical spaces we inhabit.
